Update: Nashua Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash in Chickasaw County

One person was killed and another injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash Monday morning in Chickasaw County.

The Iowa State Patrol says the wreck occurred on Highway 346 shortly after 10 a.m. A Ford F-250 was traveling westbound when the driver, 43-year-old Nicholas Dietz of Nashua, lost control of the truck due to surface conditions of the road. The truck then left the roadway, rolled and came to rest on its top. 

Dietz was pronounced dead at the scene and a passenger, 74-year-old Dee Dietz, also of Nashua, was injured. She as transported to Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

The Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office and New Hampton EMS also responded to the scene.
