The deadline for students to apply for Charles City Area Dollars for Scholars scholarships is next week.
Dollars for Scholars President Kathy Herrick says they’re excited to once again help students with extra money for college.
Herrick says they raised about $3,000 last Friday with their Dining for Dollars meal, which this year was drive-thru instead of the normal silent auction and dine-in gourmet meal.
Herrick adds that they will look at doing another drive-thru meal this summer. In the meantime, the scholarship application deadline is Tuesday, March 1st.
Herrick says they won’t even know the name of the scholarship recipients until the blind process is completed.
