North Iowa Man Recent Iowa Lottery Winner of $63K, Bought Ticket in Floyd County

A Bremer County man recently won a large lottery prize with a ticket he purchased in Floyd County.

The Iowa Lottery says Zachary Liddle of Plainfield won an “Extreme Green Progressive InstaPlay” jackpot prize of $63,028, claiming his prize on February 8th at the lottery’s Mason City regional office. Liddle bought his winning ticket at Love’s Travel Stop in Floyd.

The Extreme Green Progressive jackpot starts at $20,000 and increases with each ticket sold statewide until it is won.

It’s been a bountiful start to 2022 for north Iowans with the Iowa Lottery. In January, Michelle Rothmeyer of Calmar won a $50,000 Powerball prize; the Flicks, including family members from New Hampton, Ionia and Fredericksburg, won $100,000 in the “Jewels 7” scratch game; and Karla and Keith Elenz of New Hampton won a $2 million Powerball prize.

Karla Elenz recalls telling her 83-year-old mom they had won.

Both the Flicks and Elenzes purchased their winning tickets at Casey’s in New Hampton.
