Estate Planning Workshop Offered by Floyd County ISU Extension Thursday

“Estate and Transition Planning 101: The Nuts and Bolts to Get You Started” is a workshop being offered Thursday night in Charles City.

Melissa O’Rourke is an attorney and a Farm and Agribusiness Management Specialist with ISU Extension presents the workshop on behalf of the Floyd County Extension office. She says if you have questions about estate planning, you are not alone.

O’Rourke says a great place to start is to set your goals.

O’Rourke says key topics for Thursday night’s workshop from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Charles City PUblic Library include property ownership, wills, federal estate tax, Iowa inheritance tax, gifting and gifting strategies, trusts, and healthcare planning.
