Floyd County Public Health Available Wednesdays for Walk-In COVID Boosters and Vaccs

The CDC has authorized a second COVID booster dose for those over the age of 50.

That’s Floyd County Public Health Administrator Gail Arjes who adds that whether it’s Moderna, Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson, it’s ok to mix and match boosters or stick with your original vaccine.

Arjes says health officials also continue to encourage vaccinations for those who haven’t gotten their initial COVID shot.

Arjes says her office is available for no-appointment, walk-in vaccinations and boosters on Wednesdays, but you can also contact public health if you need to make other arrangements.
