Charles City Woman Pleads Guilty to Fatal 2021 Crash

A Charles City woman has pleaded guilty to her involvement in a head-on crash last fall that killed two people from Mason City.

According to court documents, the Iowa State Patrol says 29-year-old Casey Lindahl was intoxicated when her vehicle went across the center line near the intersection of Underwood Avenue and 140th Street, about ten miles northeast of Charles City, on September 4, 2021. Her vehicle then collided head-on with a vehicle, killing two occupants, 77-year-old Chris Anderson and 76-year-old Anita Anderson. Lindahl and her three-year-old son were also injured in the wreck.

Last week, Lindahl entered guilty pleas to two counts of homicide by vehicle-OWI.  A plea hearing has been set for May 9th in Floyd County District Court.
