One person was injured in a car versus semi wreck near Floyd Wednesday afternoon.
The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office says the collision occurred at the Highway 218/18/Avenue of the Saints interchange shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday. Julie Miller of Nora Springs was attempting to turn onto the highway when her Chevy Cruze was struck broadside by the Kenwood semi tractor operated by Andrew Bryan of Arizona City, Arizona.
One unidentified person suffered minor injuries and was taken by AMR Ambulance to Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City for treatment. Miller’s vehicle was considered a total loss.
The Floyd Fire Department and the Iowa State Patrol also assisted at the scene.
