Wind Advisory in Effect Until 4 p.m. Monday for Much of North/Northeast Iowa

National Weather Service La Crosse/Des Moines…WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THIS MORNING TO 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON…

Mitchell-Howard-Winneshiek-Floyd-Chickasaw-Fayette-Emmet-Kossuth-Winnebago-Worth-Palo Alto-Hancock-Cerro Gordo-Humboldt-Wright- Franklin-Butler-Bremer-Hamilton-Hardin-Grundy-Black Hawk-counties.

South to Southeast winds with sustained speeds of 25 to 35 mph  and gusts up to 50 mph expected. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

The NWS advises using extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle and to secure outdoor objects.
