Companies to Pitch Pool Study to Charles City This Week

Companies vying to conduct a study of the Charles City municipal swimming pool at Lions Field will make their pitches to City officials this week.

Parks and Recreation Director Tyler Mitchell says whichever company is selected, the study will assess enhancing the current pool as well as building a new pool. He adds that the study isn’t the only info to be considered for the pool’s future.

Mitchell says whatever solutions the pool study presents, funding could still be a question mark.

Mitchell says the pool companies this week are making their cases to the Charles City Park Rec Board as to why they should be hired to conduct the pool study.

JEO Consulting will make their presentation at 4 p.m. Wednesday with Burbach Aquatics taking their turn at 4 p.m. Thursday, both at City Hall.
