The Charles City-Nashua Plainfield trap shooting team boasts the individual boys state champion.
Colton Crooks was perfect in taking top individuals honors Saturday at the Iowa High School State Trap Shoot at the Cedar Falls Gun Club. The Charles City shooter tallied a perfect 200 to capture the title; going 100 for 100 in his morning round, which he matched again with his afternoon round.
This year’s event drew a record 110 teams and nearly 3,000 shooters throughout the high school, middle school, and elementary divisions.
