2022 Fourth of July Celebration Shirts for Sale, Orders Due Sunday
T-shirts commemorating the “Party in the Heartland” theme for this year’s Charles City Fourth of July Celebration shirts are now available for sale.
The “Party in the Heartland” shirts and logo are available in either black or navy blue, with a choice of a t-shirt style for $20 or a ladies’ tank top style for $25. Orders through the Charles City Area Chamber of Commerce need to be placed by this Sunday, June 19th, in order for the shirts to be available by June 24th.
Charles City’s Fourth of July Celebration will begin on Friday, July 1st, with Kids Day activities at Central Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., including a Kids Day Parade at 10:30 a.m., followed that evening by a Party in the Park from 5 to 9 p.m. On Sunday, July 3rd, there will be music, food and beverage vendors and activities in Central Park from 1-10 p.m., followed by a fireworks show downtown over the Cedar River. The annual Firecracker 5 races, Independence Day Parade at 10:30 a.m. and Central Park activities to follow will all take place on Monday, July 4th.
