Charles City Officials Investigate Bathroom Vandalism

Officials in Charles City continue to investigate a series of vandalism incidents involving public restrooms.

That’s Park-Rec Director Tyler Mitchell, who says the vandalism has been going on for about four months and could eventually keep the public from accessing restrooms at the City’s parks.

Mitchell says the restrooms at Sportsmen’s Park have already been closed off to the public and porta potties have been put in place for the time being.

Mitchell says they have received no concrete leads on vandalism suspects and hopes that if the public sees something suspicious, or catches anything on video, to please contact the Park-Rec, City Hall or Charles City Police.
