Fully Functional Floyd County Fair Runs Through Sunday

For the first time in four years, the Floyd County Fair is fully functional.

It was just over three years ago the fairgrounds were devastated by a tornado. Two years ago, COVID kept fairgoers away. Last year saw the event rebound in attendance, but there was still work to be done to rebuild facilities lost by the tornado.

Fair Board President Kelsey Uetz says their efforts have come together for this year’s fair.

Uetz adds that all fairgoers will notice the increase in cemented areas of the fairgrounds and when it comes to giving notice to attendees, they now have that taken care of too.

The Floyd County Fair, just west of Charles City, runs Wednesday through Sunday. You can learn more at www.floydcountyfair.org and on the Floyd County Fair Facebook page.
