Interim Charles City School Superintendent on the Job After Initial Delay

The interim Superintendent for the Charles City School District started her new job July 1st, at least technically speaking.

However, during her first School Board meeting Monday night, Dr. Anne Lundquist apologized for her absence the first week of duty.

Still, Lundquist has been throwing herself into her work and is ready to tackle large tasks for the district.

Lundquist is on a one-year contract with the school district, taking over for Mike Fisher, who left after four years at the helm in Charles City to become the Superintendent in his hometown of Oskaloosa.

The district is expected to resume its search for a full-time replacement later this year.
