A northeast Iowa man was killed in a motorcycle crash Friday night.
The Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office says the wreck occurred just before 9 p.m. Friday night on Rossville Road near Waukon.41-year-old Matthew Sweeney was operating the motorcycle when he struck the rear end of another northbound vehicle, throwing him off the motorbike. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car was not injured in the incident.
The Waukon Police Department, Veterans Memorial Hospital Ambulance, Waukon Fire Department, and Allamakee County Emergency Management also assisted at the scene.
