Two Injured in Two-vehicle Wreck in Butler County

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle wreck Friday night in north Iowa..

The Iowa State Patrol says the crash occurred just after 8:30 p.m. on the east side of Parkersburg.. A Chevy Suburban driven by 29-year-old Zachary Toben of Slater was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Highways 14 and 57, when his vehicle was struck from behind by the Ford Fusion driven by 56-year-old Craig Pals of Cedar Falls.

Toben and his wife, 31-year-old Brittany Toben, were transported by Parkersburg EMS to the Grundy Center Hospital with unspecified injuries. Pals was not injured.

The Butler County Sheriff Department and Parkersburg Police Department also assisted at the scene.
