New Hampton Football Player Has “Heart” On/In the Field

A New Hampton High School football player is being recognized for his efforts on the field of play and out in the field.

The Chickasaw’s Logan Peterman has been selected as this week’s  “Beck’s Seeds Player With Heart” by the Brownfield Ag News Network, saluting high school athletes who demonstrate that they are a Player with Heart.

In this excerpt from an interview with Radio Iowa’s Todd Kimm, Peterman says he takes great pride in his family’s “century farm.”

Peterman added that farm work has helped him in football.

Peterman also tells Brownfield that his favorite thing about high school sports is the team effort and that the group of peers he plays with becomes a brotherhood that just can’t be explained. He hopes to play college football and study business and agriculture business.

Peterman and the Chickasaws opened their season Friday night with a 22-19 defeat of MFL Mar-Mac.

Past “Beck’s Player with Heart” recipients included North Fayette Valley’s Taylor Luzum; Wapsie Valley’s Cannon Joerger; Landon Pratt of Nashua-Plainfield. Landon Luft of Charles City
