Child Attacked by Dogs in Nashua 

A 6-year-old child was attacked by four dogs in Nashua over the Labor Day weekend.

The Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about the incident on Panama Street in Nashua shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday. The 6-year-old girl suffered injuries to the head and neck in the attack involving four Wheaten Terriers.

The child was transported by helicopter to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital in Iowa City.

The four Terriers will be euthanized by a veterinarian.

No other details are being made available at this time.
