Authorities ID Man’s Body Found in Northeast Iowa Home, Not Releasing Name

Authorities have identified a deceased male found a month ago in a northeast Iowa home, but are not releasing the man’s name.

The Howard County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call on August 26th that led to deputies going to a residence near Chester, about 20 miles northwest of Cresco near the Iowa-Minnesota border. The body of a dead male was found inside the home.

Sheriff Tim Beckman says they know who the man is, but they are not releasing any additional information at this time.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation has been assisting with the death investigation.
