Floyd County Vaccination Numbers Show Height of COVID Pandemic

The height of the COVID pandemic is evidenced by the number of vaccinations given.

During her annual report to the Floyd County Board of Supervisors Monday, County Public Health Administrator Gail Arjes contrasted the county’s COVID vaccination numbers over the last two years.

Despite the decrease in COVID shots, Arjes reminded the Supervisors that the County does still offer the vaccines, including those for kids.

Arjes also offered advice for those looking to get a COVID booster.

Arjes also notes that while it’s ok if you get your COVID booster at the same time you get your flu shot this fall, her preference would be that you have some time separation between the two vaccinations.
