Four CCHS Students Participate in All-State Music Festival

The 76th Annual Iowa All-State Festival, presented by the Iowa High School Music Association over the weekend, included  participation by four Charles City students.

Tenor Anders Haglund is made his third appearance at All-State in chorus.

Sophia Jensen was selected for the All-State band playing the flute. It’s her second appearance and says it’s fun and stressful all at the same time.

Also selected All-State chorus was Charles City alto Katie Heckers while Lillian Eagen made All-State orchestra playing the violin.

The festival started Friday and culminated with students performing in concert Saturday night on the Iowa State campus in Ames.

The concert was recorded and is slated  to air on Iowa Public Television during the Thanksgiving weekend.
