Charles City to Host NEIC Honors Music Festival Monday (01.20)

 Charles City will host this year’s Northeast Iowa Conference (NEIC) Honors Music Festival this Monday (01.20).

CCHS music director Jake Gassman says it will be a long day as band and choir singers rehearse for a combined concert Monday night.

Gassman says the band and choirs will feature about 130 students in all, all who were nominated by their respective schools.

Gassman notes that the Honors Music Festival is not a competition.

Those students will come together for Monday night’s concert at the Charles City Middle School starting at 7 pm with the Honors choir performing first followed by the Honors band. 

Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students.
