Northeast Iowa Banks Team Up for Fraud Prevention Seminar

A half-dozen northeast Iowa banks are teaming up to help prevent fraud and protect your money from scammers.
That’s Emily Schwickerath with Bank Iowa in Waucoma, who says doors will open at 5 pm April 29th for the free Fraud Prevention Seminar at the Waucoma Event Center. The program includes a free meal and features Heather Kriener with the Iowa Insurance and Financial Services Division.
Bank Iowa’s Haillie Reicks says Kriener will provide valuable insights on today’s fraud trends and practical prevention tips to protect yourself against and scammers.
Reicks also notes that your bank will not contact you by phone for account information.
RSVPs for the Fraud Prevention Seminar are recommended by Monday (04.20) by calling 563-776-5005 or by contacting one of the six banks involved, which also includes Security State Bank, Luana Savings Bank, Fidelity Bank & Trust, Citizens Savings Bank, and First Citizens Bank.
