New Hampton Police Looking for Full, Part-Time Help

The New Hampton Police Department is looking for full- and part-time help.

NHPD is accepting applications for a full-time police officer, with a deadline to submit applications of Friday, June 24th. Tentative testing date is Saturday July 16th, with physical agility at 9:00 a.m., and P.O.S.T. testing following completion of the physical testing and a short break. Applicants currently ILEA certified and employed by a Law Enforcement Agency are allowed lateral transfer.  Applicants without certification are required to pass the P.O.S.T. and physical agility testing.

NHPD is also seeking contract employees to assist with RAGBRAI when it passes through New Hampton on July 29th. Applicants must be a certified peace officer and hours can vary based on your availability between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m.  Pay will be $35 an hour.
