Charles City Aeronautics Reaches New Contract with City of Ames

Charles City Aeronautics (CCA) has reached a new contract agreement with the City of Ames to continue flights and other services out of the Ames Municipal Airport.

CCA operates as North Iowa Air Service in Mason City and Charles City and as Central Iowa Air Service (CIAS) in Ames, where their new contract the City of Ames is a 15-year contract with a 15-year extension.

CCA President Bill Kyle said in a statement,  “Central Iowa Air Service and the City of Ames have become wonderful partners who have grown the airport and clientele over the past 5 years. The team at CIAS is a tremendous asset to our company and the City of Ames.”

CIAS currently employs 15 full and part time people and operates out of the main terminal building at the Ames Municipal Airport.
