The Floyd County Museum hosts its Heritage Fest from 10 am to 3:30 pm this Saturday.
That’s museum director McKenna Lloyd, who adds that there will also be free tours of the museum itself, including a rare opening of the Railroad Club.
Floyd County Conservation will also be on hand Saturday, according to naturalist Heidi Reams.
Lloyd says there will also be history-inspired games and crafts for the kids, plus live music performances, with Vidar Skrede playing traditional Norwegian folk music at 10:30 am and the Cedar Summerstock Theatre troupe performing songs of Iowa history at 2:30 pm .
