Charles City Police Still Accepting Citizen’s Police Academy Registration

The Charles City Police Department is still taking registrations for its 2022 Citizen’s Police Academy (CPA).

Chief Hugh Anderson says participants will learn various aspects of police work from various officers on the force and, sometimes, other branches of law enforcement.

Anderson adds that the CPA is an incredible way for participants to see what officers do.

The CPA will meet from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday nights for nine weeks starting September 6th at the Charles City NIACC Center. The program is free for adults, but space is limited.

Find a link to register through NIACC.
