Charles City – Cabin Fever Weekend 2024 Underway

 It’s Cabin Fever Weekend (01.25-01.28) in and around Charles City.

Coordinated by the Charles City Area Chamber of Commerce, events are designed to get people out of the house and embrace a little winter fun. A combination of both indoor and outdoor activities are being offered by Charles City area businesses and organizations. 

Festivities include roller skating at the Charles City YMCA, catching the animated movie, “SOUL,” at the Charles Theatre, learning about birds of Iowa at Prologue Books & Wine, or visiting PAWS for their open house all weekend long. 

There’s a 9-Pin Bowling Tournament at The Comet Bowl Saturday at 1 pm hosted by the Charles City Community Fund. Organizer Brian Fuller says it’s  one of their biggest fundraisers of the year, which in turn, allows them to help other non-profit organizations.

Fuller says there’s still room for a few more teams to sign up. Find more info on Charles City Community Fund on Facebook.
