19-Year-Old Killed in Single-Vehicle North Iowa Crash
A 19-year-old driver was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash Monday night in north Iowa.
The Iowa State Patrol says the wreck occurred about 15 miles south of Algona at about 7 p.m. A Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Desiman Stone Jr. of Livermore was northbound on Ohio Avenue in Humboldt County when he ran a stop sign at the county line and entered Kossuth County on 150th Avenue. He then lost control of the vehicle on the gravel and it rolled several times, ejecting Stone from the car. He died at the scene.
The Kossuth and Humboldt County Sheriff’s Offices, Livermore Fire Department and Kossuth County Medical Examiner also assisted at the scene.
