Charles City Fire Chief Sam Deverell discusses Fire Prevention Month and this year’s focus on safely charging electronic devices, along with fall and holiday fire safety. Deverell also talks about volunteer firefighter recruitment, training opportunities, and the department’s annual Pancake Breakfast on October 11.

Support the Charles City Fire Department at its annual Pancake Breakfast Sunday, October 11, from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Charles City Fire Station. Breakfast is served for a free-will donation, and Sparky is expected to make an appearance.
