October a Great Time for Kids to Join Floyd County 4-H

October is a great time for kids to join Floyd County 4-H.

Michelle Schubert is Youth Coordinator through Floyd County ISU Extension and Outreach. She says registration is normally $40 for a year of participation, but newcomers can join for much less.

Schubert says returning members can also save.

Schubert also reminds students and parents you don’t have to live on a farm to be in 4-H,  as evidenced by 4-H’s current push for SPIN or Special Interest Clubs.

There’s also the Cooking Clovers Club.

Schubert says there are six 4-H clubs across Floyd County and enrollment can be done at 4honline.com.
