31st Annual Spookwalk in Charles City Treated to Dry, Comfortable Weather

Last week, temperatures in the Charles City area pushed into the low 80s. Monday, high temps were only around 60 with a cloudy sky, but no rain.
Thus, the 31st edition of a Charles City Halloween tradition returned in comfortable dry conditions for “A Wicked Good Spookwalk.”
The free family-focused event, for children up through sixth grade and their families, was hosted by the friendly goblins at Main Street Charles City, including Spookwalk coordinator Cathie Hager.
Hager says over 30 treat stations welcome around 1,100 trick-or-treating kids who walked the Riverfront Park Trail along the Cedar River.
Spookwalk treat station award winners included:
* Best Overall Booth: Yokohama TWS
* Best Use of Theme: Hy-Vee
* President’s Choice: Soifer Family McDonald’s
* Mayor’s Choice: Valero Renewables
* Kid’s Choice: India May
The official Trick-or-Treat Night in Charles City is set for 5:30 to 7:30 PM Saturday, Oct. 31st.
