“Party in the Park” Returns to Charles City for 19th season

“Party in the Park” is returning to Charles City for its 19th year.

Organized by Main Street Charles City, this year’s “Party in the Park” dates in Central Park are set for June 10, June 24, July 1 and August 12. Festivities each night begin at 5 p.m. and go until 9 p.m. featuring free live music, plus food vendors, beer garden, and various activities. There is no admission fee and all ages are welcome.

The theme of the opening night, June 10th, will be “Games Night,” with various activities including lawn games, tug-of-war, ring toss, a kids relay race, Boy Scouts pedal cars and more. Music will be provided by the “Iowa raised, Ireland rooted” band, Blame Not The Bard.

This year’s Party in the Park tokens will be a blast from the past – the original white 2003 tokens. They are $1 each and used as currency in the park for all of the food, drink and games. No other years’ tokens will be accepted and there will be no refunds for leftover tokens.

For more information, contact the Main Street Charles City Office at 401 North Main St., (641) 228-2335 or email info@charlescitychamber.com
