A north Iowa veteran has a new roof over his head.
Brandon Schmidt, a U.S. Army veteran who lives in Nora Springs, is the recipient of the new roof provided by Young Construction of Mason City.
That’s Ava Shafer, Marketing Manager for Young Construction, who says the company is in the second year of the roofing program as an Owens Corning Platinum Roof Contractor.
She adds that workers were ready to roll when they arrived Wednesday morning at Schmidt’s home.
Shafer says Young Construction has several veterans on their staff, making their participation in the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project even more rewarding.
