Charles City Farmers Market season to open May 6

Locally-produced fresh produce, baked goods, crafts, flowers and plants will make their return to Central Park on Saturday, May 6, when the Charles City Downtown Farmers Market returns for its 2023 season.

Chamber Director Mark Wicks says there’s still room to add more vendors and more variety.

Administered by Main Street Charles City, Farmers Markets will run Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon and Wednesdays from 3:30-6 p.m. on Blunt Street, adjacent to Central Park.

Farmers Market customers will also have the opportunity to win a weekly prize package, featuring items donated by the participating vendors, by filling out drawing slips at the Market each week. Customer Appreciation Days are set for August 23 and 26.

For more information about the Charles City Farmers Market, contact the office at (641) 228-2335.

Vendors can participate on a daily basis for $15 or be a seasonal vendor with united appearances and a reserved stall for $75. Vendor application forms are available at the Main Street Charles City office at 401 North Main St., or my emailing info@charlescitychamber.com.
