Deadline Saturday to Apply for Charles City Rotary Student Scholarships

Senior students in the Charles City School District on schedule to graduate this year are eligible to apply for an Outstanding Senior Scholarship through the Charles City Rotary Club. 

A total of two scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded for outstanding involvement in and out of the classroom. Awards criteria includes academic and extracurricular activities through school, plus involvement in community, non-school, activities that help make for a more well-rounded community member.

Students do not have to have a family connection to the Rotary Club to apply and the scholarship awards are not tied into attending college or a certain field of study. 

Applications are available through the Charles City High School Guidance Counselors Office or by contacting Rotary Scholarship Committee Chair Mark Wicks at the Charles City Chamber of Commerce.

Completed applications must be submitted by 1 p.m. this Saturday, April 29th to be considered.
