One person suffered minor injuries in a car vs. semi crash about three miles south of Charles City Monday (02.12) evening.
The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office says the collision occurred at the intersection of 230th Street and Highway 27 shortly after 6 pm. A Cadillac driven by Margaret Schultz of Charles City was southbound when she attempted to turn onto 230th from the far lane and she turned into the path of a Kenworth semi truck operated by Jerry Hanna of Middleburg, Florida, who was traveling south in the left lane.
The crash report does not specify who suffered minor injuries.
Schultz’s vehicle is considered a total loss, while damage to the tractor trailer is estimated at $40,000.
