At 604 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Bradford to 5 miles southeast of Hudson, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Waverly, Hudson, Clarksville, Shell Rock, Dike, Uni-Dome And McLeod Center, Waterloo Municipal Airport, Janesville, New Hartford, Plainfield, Morrison, Waverly Municipal Airport, and George Wyth State Park. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of central, north central, and northeast Iowa, including the following counties, in central Iowa, Grundy, Hardin, Jasper, Marshall, Polk, Poweshiek, Story and Tama. In north central Iowa, Butler and Franklin. In northeast Iowa, Black Hawk and Bremer. * WHEN...Until 1115 PM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 425 PM CDT, Emergency management reported ongoing flooding across the warned area. Several road closures, road washouts and isolated landslides have been reported. Additional rainfall of around 1 inch over the next few hours may lead to renewed, additional or worse flooding.
