Update: Weekend Decorating for New Hampton’s Little Light of Mine Pushed to Sunday
Decorating for a New Hampton holiday tradition is underway.
Little Light of Mine will transform Mikkelson Park into a lighted winter wonderland and organizers will conduct their first big push for displays starting this weekend.
Dixie Zeien says they’ll take as many volunteers as possible to help put up lights and decorations, which was originally scheduled for a 9 a.m. start Saturday morning, has been pushed to 9 a.m. Sunday morning because of rain expected Saturday morning.
If you can’t or are unable to volunteer, you’re welcome to make a monetary donation that Zeien says is now tax deductible.
Dee McGrath says decoration of the park will continue through November 18th and then the holiday magic begins one week later.
McGrath says displays will begin coming down January 1st.
