A northeast Iowa 13-year-old was killed after the ATV she was riding crashed the day before Thanksgiving.
The Iowa State Patrol says the wreck occurred around 3 p.m. Wednesday on 240th Street, just south of Manchester. The driver of a four-wheeler lost control of the ATV which entered a ditch, bottomed out and ejected all riders, including Charlee Engelken of Manchester. She was struck by the ATV and suffered fatal injuries.
The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, Manchester Police and Regional Medical Center Ambulance also responded to the scene of the crash, which remains under investigation
