The entrance to the Charles City Public Library will be getting a new look in February, but it will require the library to close for about two weeks.
The library is open Monday (02.06), but Director Annette Dean says the tile in the lobby will be replaced starting Tuesday (02.07).
Dean says retiling the floor will require removing furniture and other items from the lobby and the gallery. The plan is also to give a new coat of paint to the children’s room in the gallery.
Dean advises patrons to watch their Facebook page and website for updates on library operations during the flooring project, which was made possible by a grant from the Andres Memorial Trust Foundation.
