Charles City Public Library Back Open, Mostly

After it was closed for over a month to have new flooring installed in the lobby, the Charles City Public Library is again open to the public.

With the exception of curbside pickup and a few programs in the Zastrow Room, the public was not allowed in the library during the re-tiling of the floor from February 7th until they reopened last Friday, March 10th.

Patron Services Librarian Kamryn Kronschnabel says the library is open, although it’s not quite back to business as usual.

The children’s room also got a new coat of paint and a new touch-play learning table.

The flooring project was made possible by a grant from the Andres Memorial Trust Foundation.
