Banners Hung to Honor 2023 New Hampton High School Grads

Once again this year, New Hampton graduating high school seniors are being recognized with banners hung from light and utilities poles across the city.

That’s New Horizons Chamber Executive Director Liz Zweibohmer, who says the program has taken off in just three years.

Zweibohmer says workers from the New Hampton Municipal Light Plant started hanging banners Wednesday north and south along Linn Avenue as well as east and west along Main Street out to the New Hampton Swimming Pool. 

And, in about six weeks, this year’s graduates will get to keep their own banner.

New Hampton High School graduation commencement will be at 2:30 pm on Sunday, May 21st.
