Kid’s Day during the Charles City 4th of July weekend celebration will be Monday, July 3rd in Central Park.
At this week’s City Council meeting, Emily Garden with the event’s main sponsor, Soifer Family McDonald’s, made a request to close off adjacent streets that day from 9 am to 1 pm.
The street closure request was unanimously approved. Â
Garden also informed the Council that Soifer McDonalds, which has 17 restaurants in the Cedar Valley area, is sponsoring a similar event next month in Waterloo, due largely to the success of Kids Day in Charles City.
Garden says their first ever McFunZone as part of My Waterloo Days will be in operation on June 10th.
