Jane Finnegan age 78 of New Hampton, IA died Friday, May 19, 2023, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 26, 2023 at Holy Family Parish in New Hampton with Rev. Jim Goerend celebrating the Mass. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in New Hampton

Friends may greet the family from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory in New Hampton. Visitation continues an hour prior to the Mass on Friday at the church. Online condolences may be left at www.hugebackfuneralhome.com

In lieu of flowers, Jane requested donations to the family be given to the American Legion Auxiliary #38, American Legion #38 and Alpha Delta Kappa Teachers’ Sorority in New Hampton.

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City, which basically means he’s been corn‑fed and radio‑bred since day one. As a kid, he was always caught singing along to the radio — and while he’ll tell you he’s great at karaoke, let’s just say the audience’s ears often file a noise complaint. When he’s not busy butchering ‘80s power ballads, Chris enjoys starting overly ambitious home projects that rarely make it past the “great idea” stage. He lives in Charles City with his endlessly patient wife Vicki and their kids, Brynlee and Jaxon, who have already perfected the art of the eye‑roll every time Dad cracks another “dad joke.”
