Alta Vista Days Looking for Softball Teams to Win $500

“The Friendly Town” of Alta Vista in northern Chickasaw County is gearing up for their Alta Vista Days celebration this Friday (06.02) night and all day Saturday (06.03).

Chris Folkers with Alta Vista Days says they’re still looking for more teams to play in their first slowpitch softball tournament in five years.

Friday night’s festivities also include the Show and Shine car show from 5 to 7 pm followed by a live music performance from New Hampton-native Madison Kolbet at 7:30 pm.

Saturday events include the Live Auction Showdown, bingo, ax throwing and more live music with the Buck Hollow Band from 1 to 4 pm and the Hepperly Band from 8 pm to midnight.
