Northeast Iowa DOT Roadwork Projects Continue
*Intermittent lane closures are impaction a section of U.S. Highway 18 in northeast Iowa.
The New Hampton construction office of the Iowa DOT says crews will be conducting concrete pavement patching on U.S. 18 from Fredericksburg to West Union in Chickasaw and Fayette counties. Work began June 7th and will continue until late August, weather permitting.
Motorists will be directed through the work zone with temporary signals, flaggers, and pilot cars.
*Intermittent lane closures for sections of U.S. Highway 63, about seven miles south of New Hampton.
The New Hampton construction office of the Iowa DOT is alerting motorists to an asphalt resurfacing project on the southbound lanes of U.S. 63 in Chickasaw County, from near the Bremer County line to Iowa 346, which is the exit for Nashua (west) and Fredericksburg (east). The roadwork began June 12th and continues until mid-July, weather permitting.
Flaggers will be in place to assist motorists along the affected side roads within the work zone.
*Bridges on Highway 76 north of Waukon get work
The New Hampton Construction Office of the Iowa DOT says three bridges on Iowa Highway 76 north of Waukon will undergo bridge deck joint replacement projects requiring lane closures that may slow down their trip. Â
Crews will work on Iowa 76 bridges over the Upper Iowa River, Bear Creek, and Waterloo Creek. Only one bridge location will be worked on at a time. Motorists will be assisted through the work zone with temporary traffic signals.  Â
Work is scheduled to began June 12th and continue until late August, weather permitting,
