Site Cleared at New Hampton’s Runion Park for All-Inclusive Playground

The old playground equipment at New Hampton’s Runion Park is no more.

Park-Rec Director Tara Hackman says crews came in last Saturday (06.24) to begin removing the previous playground in its entirety, leaving the site bare to begin construction of a new all-inclusive playground.

Hackman adds that the old playground equipment is not just being discarded.

Kayla Brown says the new playground, to be known as Kindness Square, will be an exciting addition for children with special needs.

Hackman says site preparation for the new all-inclusive playground will continue into July, with the playground equipment to arrive in late July and installation to begin in August. The project is expected to be finished sometime in October.
