Gary Finger, 84, Charles City

Gary Finger, age 84 of Charles City, Iowa died Sunday, July 2, 2023, at his home.

A memorial service will be held at Clover Ridge Events located at 2526 Highway 218, Charles City, Iowa, on Monday, July 17 at 11:00 a.m.

Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory — Olson Chapel in Nashua has been entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences for Gary’s family may be left at www.hugebackfuneralhome.com 641-435-4134.

In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to the organizations of Floyd County Quilts of Valor or Flags Over Charles City. Any memorials given to the family will also be

distributed to these two organizations. Gary was given a Quilt of Valor and held a subscription to Flags Over Charles City, and both meant a great deal to him.

When he’s not busy butchering ‘80s power ballads, Chris enjoys starting overly ambitious home projects that rarely make it past the “great idea” stage. He lives in Charles City with his endlessly patient wife Vicki and their kids, Brynlee and Jaxon, who have already perfected the art of the eye‑roll every time Dad cracks another “dad joke.”
