Michael Gerard Stika, age 68 of Madison, Indiana, died March 8, 2023 at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

A Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Protivin, Iowa with Rev. Nick Radloff and Deacon Jim Zajicek presiding. Inurnment will follow at the church cemetery. A time of visitation and fellowship will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

There will be a celebration luncheon at the home of Ronald and Elaine Stika, 3424 285th Street in Cresco, Iowa following the graveside.

Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences for the Stika family may be left at www.hugebackfuneralhome.com

Chris was born in Webster City and raised in Charles City, which basically means he’s been corn‑fed and radio‑bred since day one. As a kid, he was always caught singing along to the radio — and while he’ll tell you he’s great at karaoke, let’s just say the audience’s ears often file a noise complaint. When he’s not busy butchering ‘80s power ballads, Chris enjoys starting overly ambitious home projects that rarely make it past the “great idea” stage. He lives in Charles City with his endlessly patient wife Vicki and their kids, Brynlee and Jaxon, who have already perfected the art of the eye‑roll every time Dad cracks another “dad joke.”
